About Us
Vista Spectrum (M) Sdn. Bhd. is a private venture capitalist company focusing mainly in distressed assets in the area of industrial and commercial real estate and high-growth, high risks enterprises. Because we are very focus and being boutique, we do not invest in any project or venture without first qualifying them.
We create shareholder value by investing in good distressed companies with reasonably good potential for future growth by working closely with them to continuously build their management, leadership and corporate culture in a way that leads to long term growth and value creation.
We view ourselves as an intellectual property ("IP") "investor" in the target company vis-à-vis our structured execution methods and investment in time of our professional services. Being a boutique venture capitalist, Vista's resources are exclusively scarce and hence, we are very selective in choosing our partner to invest in.

Who We Are?
Vista Spectrum is not a large conglomerate where the organization structure is equally gigantic and decision-making process is often slow and complicated. Being private and small enable us to be focus on what we do best and make the critical decisions faster.
The Board of Directors of Vista comprises several successful entrepreneurs and corporate professional in Malaysia and Singapore.
Executive Chairman — Mr. Syed Azmin Bin Syed Nor
Mr. Syed Azmin graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Business Management from the University of Berkeley USA. Upon graduation in 1984, he was involved in several private business ventures which included trading in commodities, housing development, manufacturing and stock broking.
Mr. Syed Azmin sits on a few Public Listed Companies in Malaysia and personally owned many private companies across the ASEAN region, UK and the US.
Deputy Chairman — Dato' Sri Victor Chng Heow Ho
Dato' Sri Victor Chng Heow Ho is a self-made multi millionaire in his own rights. He has started from scratch, several business ventures which included commercial property constructions, transportation, properties and hotel investments.
He is the owner of Fortuna Group of Companies which holds 100% of Fortuna Hotel Singapore, 70% of Fortuna Hotel Hanoi and 100% of Hanoi Club & Service Apartment. Mr. Victor also owns several investment properties in Singapore, Malaysia, UK and Japan.
Managing Director — Dato' John Au
Dato' John Au graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Canada and was admitted into the prestigious MBA program from the National University of Singapore in 2009. He has studied and worked in Canada for more than 15 years.
Soon after he graduated from Canada, he worked for the Canadian's Department of National Defense before returning to Malaysia and joined a large Japanese company named NTT Data Corporation as the Director of Business Development. After 4 years with NTT Group, he was head hunted to join a large conglomerate, Hong Leong Group, as the group Chief Information Officer.
He later left the employment era and involved in a few companies which included Asia Golfing Network Sdn. Bhd. which was later sold to Air Asia's parent company for USD 2 million. He still owns another consulting company, Aubridge Sdn Bhd, which specializes in Performance Management Systems and is now being managed by his business partner.
He is currently the main shareholder and managing director of Noi Bai Development Corp. Ltd. which develop, manages and operates a well-known and well-established industrial park in Hanoi, Vietnam since 2010.
Director — Mr. Abu Bakar Bin Haji Mohamad
Mr. Abu Bakar bin Haji Mohamad graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from University of Strathclyde, UK in 1976 and started his career as an engineer with the Malaysian Government's National Electricity Board.
After more than 10 years in the government service, he joined Malaysia's largest oil and gas corporation PETRONAS, and was subsequently assigned to his first overseas posting to Hai Phong, Vietnam. His last position in Petronas Vietnam was the General Director before retiring in 2008.
Financial Controller — Ms. Tan Bee Yan
Ms. Tan Bee Yan graduated with Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business from the UK's ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) in 2017. She spent much time attending many management accounting and specialized tax training courses organized by the professional accounting organizations like A.C.C.A. Malaysian Customs and L.C.C.I. in order to continuously improve her qualifications. With more than 28 years of experience, she advanced her professional careers from the simple positions like Accounts Clerk, Audit Assistant and Tax Senior up to senior positions like Audit and Finance Manager until her recent position as the Company Financial Controller.
